what is the DNS for? is DNS related to our problem that we cannot log in because Acquiring ip address.

DNS = Domain Name System .. its like shortcut to make ppl use name like tales of talisman ..
and as i said its not the problem

but why i cannot log in. it always appearing Acquiring IP address. my anti virus is off and my internet is ok. i also reinstalled mt client

i have the same problem my interent is fine and i dont have avast why is it saying acquiring IP address? is this a server problem? is it specific to me and this other person? how do i fix this?
